No taxpayer hit for CBD offices

Construction will start early next year on controversial 43-storey building to house Queensland’s public servants and senior ministers in Brisbane’s CBD.

Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney and Treasurer Tim Nicholls announced Cbus Property will develop the new $653 million building on undeveloped land.

Mr Nicholls said “it won’t cost taxpayers a cent”.
