Chair
Georgina Lynch has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services and property industries, with significant global experience in corporate transactions, capital raisings, initial public offerings, funds management, corporate strategy and acquisitions and divestments.
In addition to being Chair of Cbus Property, Georgina is an independent non-executive director, Member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Chair of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee of ASX-listed Waypoint REIT, as well as an independent non-executive director of ASX-listed Vicinity Centres.
Georgina is also a non-executive Director of Evolve Housing, a social and affordable housing provider.
Georgina holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws.
Member Director
The Hon. Steve Bracks AC was Premier of Victoria for almost eight years (1999-2007).
He was appointed Chancellor of Victoria University in May 2021.
Mr Bracks chairs Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Trust, the AFL Strategic Community Investment Fund Advisory Board and The Shannon Company.
He chaired the Cbus Superannuation Fund from 2009 to 2021.
He is a non-executive director of the Bank of Sydney and was from 2007 to 2019 of Jardine Lloyd Thomson Australia.
He is a member of the Australian Republican Movement’s Republican Advisory Panel.
Mr Bracks is an honorary chair of the Trade Union Education Foundation and was an honorary adviser to the former Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Xanana Gusmao, from 2007 to 2017, and in late 2022 was appointed by the Australian Government as an Australia’s Special Representative for the Greater Sunrise gas project in the Timor Sea.
Independent Director
Susan has more than 30 years of domestic and international experience in property investment management, primarily in the retail sector, including asset, development and funds management. She has extensive experience in people management, organisational culture, strategy development and stakeholder engagement.
Susan has held executive positions with Mirvac, Lendlease, AMP Capital and Galileo Funds Management, and is a former Joint Deputy Chair of the Shopping Centre Council of Australia and a former Global Trustee of Urban Land Institute (ULI). Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts (UNSW), is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a current Global Trustee of Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Susan is also a Non-Executive Director and Member of the Risk Committee and the HR and Remuneration Committee of Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC); a Non-Executive Director and Member of the Audit and Risk Committee of Landcom; a Non-Executive Director Member of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee of Waypoint REIT; and a Strategic Advisor to the Board of Mainbrace Constructions.
Member Director
Dave holds extensive senior union leadership experience developed through positions including National Secretary, Assistant National Secretary and organiser of the CFMEU (Construction and General Division). Prior to 1988, Dave worked as a builder’s labourer. He organised major union sites at several iconic Melbourne landmarks.
Dave is the Vice President (Asia Pacific region) of the Building and Wood Workers’ International – the global union representing 12 million members in 127 countries. He is also Chair of the BWI Asia Pacific Regional Committee.
Dave was a Member Director of Cbus from 2006 – 2021 and a board member of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors from 2018 – 2021. During his time as a director of Cbus, Dave served as Chair of the Risk Committee and as a member of the Investment and Growth Committees.
Dave’s qualifications include RG146 for Superannuation and various specialist property and investment courses.
Independent Director
Simon has more than 30 years of analysis, advisory and operational experience in the finance and real estate sectors. This includes 19 years as an equities analyst researching listed real estate and retail companies at Macquarie Bank and JP Morgan, and a further six years as a corporate advisor to major real estate groups, at UBS and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Simon has operational experience at Stockland Trust Group, where he was responsible for Strategy, Research and Stakeholder Relations, and is a member of the Executive Committee. He holds a Master of Commerce qualification in accounting and finance.
Simon is also a non-executive director of Assembly Funds Management, Kiwi Property Group (NZX Listed) and SGCH, a not-for-profit community housing provider, as well as Chairman of the HomeCo Daily Needs REIT.
Employer Director
Hedley has more than 25 years of senior management experience in the building, development, civil infrastructure and mining services sectors and has held a number of senior leadership roles at WATPAC, JA Dodd Ltd and Baulderstone Hornibrook Limited.
Hedley brings to the Board a wealth of industry experience and is a past president of both Master Builders Victoria (MBV) and Master Builders Australia (MBA), where he chaired the Industrial Relations Committee.
Hedley also sat on the Board of Incolink for nine years, which included representation on both the Investment Committee and the Risk, Finance & Audit Committee.
Employer Director
Michelle has more than 20 years’ experience in technology leadership, digital transformation, cybersecurity risk and corporate governance, primarily in the travel, higher education and logistics industries. This includes the Chief Information Officer position with Intrepid Travel and Open Universities Australia and strategic change roles with Australia Post.
Michelle’s current non-executive director and Audit & Risk Committee appointments include Charles Sturt University, The Leukaemia Foundation, EPA Victoria, Essential Services Commission and The Melbourne Forum. Michelle is also the Chair of the Cbus Audit and Finance Committee and a member of the Cbus Risk Committee.
Michelle holds an MBA (Executive) and a Bachelor of Business (Charles Sturt University). She is a Graduate AICD, a Certified Practising Accountant and a Certified Professional of the Australian Computer Society.
Chief Executive Officer
Adrian Pozzo is the Chief Executive Officer of Cbus Property Pty Ltd, having been appointed to this role in 2007. Adrian has over 30 years’ experience as an executive in the property and construction industries, working in both private and public companies, including 15 years in direct property.
Adrian has responsibility for the strategic performance & management of all aspects of the Cbus direct property investment business which includes major investments and developments in the commercial and residential sectors.
Adrian is a Certified Practicing Accountant and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Investment Officer
Reporting to the CEO, Chris has a national role encompassing key involvement in the identification and procurement of new residential and commercial development acquisitions including securing tenant pre-commitments and is focused on delivering safer delivery outcomes. He is also a member of the Cbus Property Safety Committee.
While Chris assists and challenges the development team to deliver enhanced financial and end user outcomes relative to the project objectives, he also oversees developments in design and delivery, attending project PCG meetings and regularly reports to the Cbus Property Board.
Executive General Manager, Governance & Risk Company Secretary
Rachel has responsibility for management of the governance risk and compliance frameworks of Cbus Property and associated entities, in accordance with statutory, legal, company secretarial and professional standards. She provides corporate governance and company secretarial support to the Cbus Property Board and its Committees and is responsible for overseeing internal policies and procedures.
Rachel joined Cbus Property in 2001 and has gained broad and varied experience through roles in the Finance, Commercial and Governance departments. Rachel is a Chartered Accountant (UK) and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Financial Officer
Ashley joined Cbus Property in 2013 and is responsible for the Investment and Asset Management, Commercial Operations and Corporate functions.
Ashley has extensive experience in property and structured real estate finance, both domestically and internationally, and has held various senior roles in the advisory, AREIT and private sectors.
Ashley is a qualified valuer and holds both undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in property.
Executive General Manager – Development
Victor Istanto joined Cbus Property in 2004 and in his role as Development Manager for Cbus Property, Victor successfully procured and delivered the one40william development at 140 William Street, Perth.
Victor has also led the procurement of 5 Martin Place, Sydney and successfully led the pre-commitment (Medibank) of 720 Bourke Street, Melbourne. He recently oversaw Cbus Property’s new 313 Spencer Street office complex for the Victoria Police and is now responsible for directing the development management of 447 Collins Street.
Prior to commencing at Cbus Property, Victor worked for an International Construction company in the delivery of an array of projects, including commercial office, hospitals, shopping centres, educational facilities and high rise apartments.
Executive General Manager, People & Experience
Reporting directly to the CEO, Lucy joined Cbus Property in August 2019 and leads the company’s people strategy, practices and organisational change.
Lucy is an experienced people strategist, who is responsible for future-proofing people policies and strategies and driving organisational initiatives and programs.
Prior to joining Cbus Property, Lucy worked in a number of general management roles, providing leadership in functions such as organisational change, human resources, consulting, strategy, programme management office and operational management, in both Australia and the UK.
