Brookfield Properties and Cbus Property have secured leading independent Western Australian law firm, Lavan, as their latest tenant at the newly developed Nine The Esplanade office tower at Elizabeth Quay.
Lavan has committed to a 10-year lease for approximately 3,700 square metres across two floors, taking the building to circa 92 per cent leased. It joins an established community of high‑profile tenants at the address, including EY, Multiplex, Hub Australia, Argonaut, INPEX and Little Creatures.
Danny Poljak, President of Brookfield Properties and Co-Head of Real Estate in Australia, said: “The move by Lavan reflects a continuing shift among leading professional firms toward high‑performing, sustainable and amenity‑rich workspaces. What is significant about this move is Lavan is relocating after 35 years at its existing premises; that’s a great endorsement to the quality and appeal of Nine The Esplanade.”
Cbus Property’s Chief Executive Officer, Adrian Pozzo, said the business was delighted to be welcoming Lavan as a tenant partner in the building.
“We are now seeing Nine The Esplanade come to life as a premium commercial destination that supports a thriving business community, fosters a vibrant and connected workplace environment, activates the Elizabeth Quay precinct and contributes positively to the ongoing evolution of the Perth CBD,” Mr Pozzo said.
Dean Hely, Managing Partner at Lavan, said, “Our team is incredibly excited to be moving into this state‑of‑the‑art waterfront workplace at Elizabeth Quay. The building’s premium facilities will significantly enhance the way we support our clients and elevate the experience we provide to our people.”
Nine The Esplanade features market-leading sustainability credentials, targeting a 6 Star Green Star Design and As Built rating, 5.5-star NABERS Energy rating, 4-star NABERS Water rating and International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) WELL Gold Core certification.
Designed with efficiency and employee wellbeing in mind, the 19‑storey tower incorporates more than 4,600 square metres of on‑site co‑working and conferencing spaces, premium end‑of‑trip facilities and a wellness room, all within a highly connected precinct supported by multiple transport options. Other building highlights include large efficient floorplates of circa 1,870 square metres, touchless technology, inter-floor connection opportunities, floor-to-ceiling glass, secure lift destination controls and undercover parking.
